Die Anzahl an Stromabnehmern in den Haushalten ist in den letzten Jahren stark angestiegen. Notebooks, Computer, Smartphones und eine große Anzahl an Haushaltsgeräten treiben den monatlichen Verbrauch in die Höhe. Durch Kurzarbeit, häusliche Kinderbetreuung und Homeoffice während der Corona-Pandemie im Frühjahr und Frühsommer 2020 wurde in vielen Haushalten der Stromverbrauch zusätzlich erhöht. Experten haben errechnet, dass durch diese Umstände am Jahresende bis zu 150 EUR zusätzlich fällig werden könnten. Mit diesen einfachen Maßnahmen lassen sich hohe Stromkosten senken.
Stromsparen durch das Hinterfragen des eigenen Nutzungsverhalten
Je nach Wohnsituation liegt der Stromverbrauch für eine 4-köpfige Familie zwischen 3.000 und 4.000 KWh pro Jahr. Dabei ist zu berücksichtigen, dass die Bewohner von Häusern in der Regel einen höheren Stromverbrauch haben. Damit der Stromverbrauch verringert werden kann, ist es wichtig, dass zuerst Mal das eigene Nutzungsverhalten überprüft wird. Dazu zählt zum Beispiel das Ausschalten von Leuchten, die nicht benötigt werden. Auch der Verzicht auf den Stand-by-Modus trägt bei Elektro- und Haushaltsgeräten zu einer Stromersparnis ein. Wer Stecker aus Steckdosen zieht, verhindert das Fließen von Kriechstrom. Selbst das sofortige Schließen von Kühlschranktüren trägt zur Stromersparnis bei.
Der Wechsel des Stromanbieters kann bares Geld sparen
In den etwa 41 Millionen Haushalten in Deutschland haben in den letzten Jahren nur knapp 10 Prozent ihren Stromanbieter gewechselt. Dabei ist es möglich, durch einen Tarifvergleich im Internet bares Geld zu sparen. Zum Vergleichen der Strompreise stehen den Verbrauchern zahlreiche Vergleichsportale im Internet zur Verfügung. Der Clou an der Sache ist, dass die Vergleiche kostenlos und unverbindlich sind. Der neue Stromanbieter übernimmt in der Regel auch die komplette Ummeldung. Seit einiger Zeit bieten einige Energieanbieter das Bündeln von Stromtarifen an. Durch die Bündelung von Stromverträgen mit den Nachbarn können Verbraucher zusätzlich sparen, da der Energieanbieter durch den höheren Verbrauch einen günstigeren Strompreis anbietet.
Alte Glühlampen treiben den Stromverbrauch in die Höhe
Schon im Jahr 2009 wurden Glühlampen mit einem Stromverbrauch von 60 Watt aus dem Verkauf genommen. Im Jahr 2011 wurde dies auf Hochvolt-Halogenlampen ausgedehnt. Leider sind in vielen Haushalten immer noch zahlreiche Leuchtmittel in Gebrauch, die einen hohen Stromverbrauch haben. Dabei ist die Umstellung auf LED-Leuchtmittel sehr einfach. Nahezu alle LED-Leuchtmittel werden heutzutage mit den gängigen Fassungen angeboten. Auch wenn die modernen Leuchtmittel in der Anschaffung hochpreisiger sind, rentiert sich der Tausch schon nach kurzer Betriebszeit. Ein LED-Leuchtmittel mit 8 bis 10 Watt hat die Leuchtkraft einer 60 Watt Glühbirne. Hervorzuheben ist bei diesen Leuchtmitteln auch die lange Betriebszeit von etwa 100.000 Stunden.
Alte Elektrogeräte sollten nach etwa 10 Jahren ausgetauscht werden
Wer sich Gedanken über den Stromverbrauch macht, sollte auch das Alter seiner Elektrogeräte prüfen. Besonders Waschmaschinen, Kühlschränke, Gefriertruhen und Trockner haben normalerweise eine sehr lange Lebensdauer. Allerdings haben ältere Geräte einen höheren Stromverbrauch. Es ist daher ratsam, dass diese Elektrogeräte ausgetauscht werden, wenn sie älter als 10 oder 15 Jahre sind. Die Geräte der neuesten Generation haben oftmals einen Stromverbrauch, der sehr viel niedriger ist. Die Energieeffizienz ist am Energielabel erkennbar, das übrigens ab 2021 geändert wird.
